Scandinavian Design

I have been always a huge fan of Scandinavian interiors and furniture. Scandinavian style furniture has conquered us for long time now.  I am sure you have bought something in the shop Ikea at some point in your life.

But did you know the Swedish company names its products after towns in Northern Europe as a nod to its Nordic heritage? And that the blue and yellow logo was inspired by the Swedish flag? 😉

As an interior designer I am always on the search for new, cool, innovative, contemporary, outstanding, … (and the list would not end) designs.

Although Ikea products are also very resourceful my attentions goes more to other brands and products with a much higher quality in design and materials.

…and of course as I like to do with any of my other posts I’ll share and spread the word of the good stuff with you. Get inspired!

The Danish brand Bloomingville was founded in 2000. The company produces interior details and objects for both home and garden with a mixed style of Scandinavia and reproductions from past times inspired by French brocante.
