We are already in Spring and a whole new variety of interior trends are set to liven-up our homes.
The trends this year are fun and bold. You can find from exotic wild jungle prints on wallpaper and fabrics to seventies style furniture.
- Words and typography.
Apply words and typography as well as patterns into the home on walls, on blinds, curtains, photography, other home accessories and also as form of wall art. It could be a single oversized letter or a series of themed words printed.
- In the kitchen go for Natural scheme.
The trend this year is to use those colours and materials that are inspired by the landscape such as stone, wood, clay, water, vegetation … anything that can be found in nature or within the urban environment.
- Botanical theme will be a huge trend this year in a form of colour, prints and textures.
- Rattan is making its comeback this summer.
Expect to see rattan almost everywhere; across furniture, lighting and accessories with a great assortment 3D shapes from sensational curves to modern angular forms.
- Seventies furniture this year!
Use of floral cushions and rugs, painted furniture and tribal prints thrown in the right measure.
- The oriental theme is one of the most fashionable trends.
Give it an oriental twist by incorporating heavy, dark furniture, rich colours in fabrics and on walls, silk panelled or Soshi screens and bold lanterns.
- Customise it to add character and personality.
This year is again time to print your own style to furniture and decor in your home. Go on trend by changing and transforming pieces of furniture you bought. Add a coat of paint or print your own fabric. Find the craftsman or artist in you to create the bespoke. Handmade products, furnishings and art is the key to put your own print.
An old piece of furniture can not only come back to life, but also become a valuable work of art.
